CITA 2015: Call for Papers and Reviewer

The Conference on Information Technology in Asia (CITA) is an international event organised every two years by Universiti Malaysia Sarawak. This year, the 9th CITA theme is “Transforming Big Data into Knowledge” emphasising the big data challenges and its potential solutions which include data capture, data curation, data storage, data search, data sharing, data transfer, data analysis and data visualization. With the aim of managing the ever growing data, big data is also a key enabler to various fields such as engineering, medical, and business.

CITA is a multiple-track conference that includes workshops, keynote speakers, invited speakers as well as oral and poster presentations. The conference intends to act as a forum for research groups, academicians, computer scientists, engineers and practitioners to present the latest results, computer applications and promising future directions in addressing big data issues.

Submitted papers will be double-blind reviewed and registered accepted papers will be published in the digital conference proceedings. The proceeding is also to be submitted to Thomson Reuters for ISI indexing and to IEEExplore. There are also Best Paper Awards in two categories, open category, and students’ category. These award winners will be selected by internationally acknowledged experts.

Paper Submission

Papers should describe original and unpublished work on the topics of the conference. Prospective authors should prepare a full paper, written in English, a minimum of 4 pages and not exceeding 6 pages. The paper must be submitted electronically. Submissions will be rigorously reviewed and should provide the necessary evidence to clearly make the case of contributions over the existing state of the art. All accepted and presented papers will appear in the conference proceedings. A copy of the proceedings will be distributed to all participants at the Conference. Moreover, the CITA`15 conference provides additional opportunities for journal publication and best paper awards. Contacts are being established with an indexed journal for a special issue. Submissions imply that at least one of the authors has to register and to present the paper at the conference if the paper is accepted.

Please prepare your paper according to the IEEE manuscript templates for conference proceedings. The templates can be downloaded here.
